Day 4 - Holiday!!! Rest Day :)
I can’t forget
somebody saying "Finally it’s a holiday tomorrow", as if people
weren't on vacation and riding the tour. That speaks to the pain and effort
that people would have gone through during the climb up kalhatty. We had a 7:30
breakfast, a 9:30 AM photo shoot with the whole team wearing the Green TFN
jersey were busy enough posing for enough snaps. We were free for the day to do
as we wish.
Went back to room
was lazy enough watching some songs on tv, late to realize that it was 1:30 PM
already. Went out to see if the lunch was ready, there were enough riders
cleaning their bike, lubing, some getting bike fit from Bjorn, had a heavy
lunch, got back to room and was in the comfy of the room heat, to realize that
it was already 3 PM. Thought of stepping out just to at least not have a feel
of wasted a day, three of us from Hyderabad, set out for a walk to the boat
house in ooty, took an hours ride with the pedal boat, had a nice evening at
the lake, then took to the Modern store to get some homemade chocolates, Varkey
and some eucalyptus oil, set back to room right in time for the dinner at 7:30
PM, had a nice dinner and hit the bed.
